Welcome to Killeagh Medical
Killeagh Medical is a GP practice providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare to the communities of Killeagh, Castlemartyr, Youghal and the surrounding areas.
Our main practice building is located in the Old Garda Barracks in Killeagh, directly opposite St John the Baptist Church. We also have a second practice building in Castlemartyr, located on Main Street alongside The Castle Pharmacy.
Before 2016, the Killeagh practice was based in Mount Bell, where Dr Matthew Morehan cared for the local community for approximately 37 years. Following Dr Morehan’s retirement in 2016, the practice moved to its current premises in the Old Garda Barracks under Dr Mark Buckley.
We welcome Medical Card and Doctor Visit Card patients, as well as private patients. Our aim is to provide reliable, accessible, continuous and compassionate healthcare throughout every stage of life.
Killeagh Medical is a GP training practice affiliated with University College Cork (UCC), the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) and the Irish Practice Nurses Association (IPNA). We are proud to support the education and training of medical students and trainee GPs.

Due to ever increasing demand, we are currently operating at full capacity.
To ensure that we can continue to provide safe and timely care for our existing patients, our lists are currently closed to new patients.
